Parents must attend the beginning of the class, do not drop of child and leave! Students must be 11 years by the time of the written and field test. Parents must come in and register child on Saturday, April 15 for their written test. Students will complete the written test at the High School then go to the Sportsman’s Club for the hands-on piece. Adults must also complete the online course and written exam if registered. FIRST Robotics - Winter 2023 (Grades 9-12)Middle & High School EnrichmentFIRST Robotics - Winter 2022 (Grades 9-12) Being a part of the STMA Robotics team will give your student the exciting opportunity of combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Students can gain experience in engineering, CADD, programming, marketing, electrical, and/or media. Along the way students will not only gain mechanical aptitude but also real world skills that will benefit them far beyond their time spent on the robotics team. Robotics will begin on January 7, and conclude on March 25. Students will meet Tu, Wed, Th & selected Saturday’s until March 25th. PrepStar BlastMiddle & High School EnrichmentPrepStar Blast ACT Class The ACT Test is still a strong element considered for college admissions and scholarships. In this class, and ACT expert will cover the test format, essential strategies and content review. The final step in the process will be having students take a fully proctored practice ACT test. Students will score their test in the online scoring system for immediate results and will receive a detailed score report. It is recommended that students register for the next available ACT exam. NewSTMA Fishing TeamMiddle & High School EnrichmentSTMA Fishing Team REGISTRATION OPEN FEB 7-19 Please contact timothyl@mystma.org for questions This year the STMA Fishing Team will be offering 2 program options: STMA Competitive Fishing Team - Focus on competitive High School tournaments - (Grades 9 -12 during 2023-2024 School Year) STMA Sport Fishing Club - Classroom Education & Coaching - (Grades 6 - 12 during 2023-2024 School Year) Both team programs will be comprised of in classroom education and hands on technique development. The teams will be coached and mentored by current tournament anglers and other industry partners sharing best practices which has contributed to their success. STMA Fishing Team - Kick Off Meeting: Tuesday, Feb 7th, 2023 7:00pm - 8:30pm HS Media Center STMA Competitive Fishing Team - Focus on competitive High School tournaments – (Grades 9 -12 during 2023-2024 School Year) Our Competitive Fishing Team will consist of anglers wanting a mix of educational opportunities with a greater focus on fishing competitive Bass tournaments. Theses anglers will be able to demonstrate increased knowledge of the sport, be willing to travel to in person fishing tournament events and have an increased level of commitment representing the STMA Competitive Team. These anglers must be willing to engage both in classroom education and tournaments to be eligible for the competitive team. All competition is through Minnesota Varsity League (MNVL), a growing Minnesota Esports league of over 1200 members All students must use their own gaming equipment to play scheduled video game matches from home (no computers or console will be provided).
