Explore all aspects of theater—acting, directing, design, and tech—while creating student-led productions. Open to all talent levels, this club makes learning theater fun and rewarding! Full Description: Summer Theater Club provides an opportunity to be a part of the STMA Theater Community! If you've ever wanted to be a part of a production, but were worried about auditions, this is your opportunity! Theater Club is open to all talent levels, and it is a great way to learn the “in's and out's” of theater. We will be going over all aspects of theater--from acting, directing, production, technical including lights and sound—and we will perform many short plays that are student directed, acted and designed! Students will learn blocking, memorizing, characterization, designing, directing, lighting, sound, set build, prop creation and costuming all while having fun putting on shows for the community! Students will break into groups of around 10. Each group will put on a short 15-20 minute production (picked by Mr. Mann) showcasing their talents and skills which they learned throughout this summer course. This class is open to incoming 8th graders to graduating seniors. Performance Date: July 29th, 6:00-8:00pm in PAC
