STMA Driver Education Online Classroom

• Students must be 15 years old by the class end date
• Attendance is taken daily
• Students must attend all 30 online-classroom hours to move forward in obtaining their driver license (required by State of MN/DVS)
• Students must download a copy of the Minnesota Class D Driver's License Manual on a smart device
  • The manual is used daily in class

• No refunds will be allowed 5 days before class start date
• This class uses the Google Meet online platform. Before registering, make sure your device meets the minimum requirements; view minimum requirements by clicking here. MN State Law requires instructors to be able to see and hear students during the entire online class session. Students must have a working device with both a camera and microphone
• Students should be in a quiet location free from distraction and noise
• Students will receive a “Class Confirmation” email with online meeting information 1-2 business days before the class.

Additional Information:

• Instructors: David Esposito and Lori Eden
• Cost $410 (includes 30 classroom hours and six (6) hours of Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) instruction)
• Students are required to have their permit for six months, complete 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, complete and log 40-50 hours of supervised driving, and be 16 years of age before they are eligible to take the road test for a driver's license
• There will be an Optional Parent/Guardian AND Student Presentation scheduled in winter
  • Date and Time to be Scheduled
  • Both a parent/guardian AND student must attend this meeting to be eligible to log 40 hours rather than 50 hours of supervised driving
